Love, Legacy, and Leadership

Hello my beautiful Red Carpet Girls,

Happy February!

This month is very special. All around the world people are celebrating love on Valentine’s Day. At the same time, we are honoring Black History Month—remembering the courage, brilliance, and strength of those who came before us.

I want you to pause for a moment and think about something important:

Love is more than hearts and flowers. Love is how you speak to yourself. Love is how you treat your family and friends. Love is how you prepare for your future.

And most of all, love is believing that YOU are worthy of greatness.

Every woman we celebrate in Black History—from Harriet Tubman to Maya Angelou, from Katherine Johnson to Michelle Obama—first had to believe in herself. They had to love who they were enough to stand tall in rooms where others doubted them.

That same strength lives inside of YOU.

Being a Red-Carpet Girl means walking with confidence, grace, and purpose. It means honoring your past while preparing for your future. It means choosing kindness over cruelty, courage over fear, and excellence over excuses.

So, this month, I challenge each of you to do three things:

  1. Speak kindly to yourself.

  2. Show love and respect to someone else.

  3. Learn about a Black woman in history who inspires you.

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN, RCG Community!

Please respond to ONE (or more) of the questions below:

  1. What does “self-love” mean to you?

  2. Name one Black woman from history (or today) who inspires you—and tell us why.

  3. How can you show love to someone in your family or school this month?

  4. What is one goal you have for yourself this year that shows you are investing in YOU?

Write your response in a few sentences. There are no wrong answers—just honest hearts.

I can’t wait to read your thoughts!

Love, Legacy, and Leadership—this is YOUR season to shine.

Remember—real beauty is not just how you look. It is how you think, how you act, and how you make others feel.

With love and high expectations,

Ms. Rose
